BEST FRIENDS KILLED ON ROAD

THREE friends who were out riding late on Saturday night were hit from behind by a speeding car along Bukit Batok Road.

Motorcyclist Mohamad Syaffiq Salleh, 20, was killed on the spot.

His pillion rider Muhammad Afiqizami Mohd Ghazali, 20, suffered head injuries and was taken to the National University Hospital where he died two hours later.

The two men were said to have been the best of friends since their days studying at Hillgrove Secondary School in Bukit Batok.

Their 19-year-old friend who was riding another motorcycle which was also hit, suffered multiple abrasions. He was taken to the National University Hospital and has been discharged.

Police said that the 49-year-old driver of the car has been arrested and is assisting in investigations.
